BW 924 is an all-natural container blend from Blended Waxes Inc., made with coconut and apricot wax. It is formulated for single-pour, scented container candles and sets with a soft, smooth, off-white finish.
What the manufacturer's sell sheet says
- Single pour
- Pre-blended, no additives required
- Good jar adhesion, no jar preheating required
- High fragrance load; recommended fragrance addition 7–9%
- Will not creep or slump at temperatures up to 100°F (38°C)
- Accepts dyes and colorants well
- Bloom resistant
How to use BW 924
- Melt slowly in a double boiler or wax melter.
- Add fragrance at 7–9%, the range the manufacturer recommends, and stir gently for about two minutes.
- Pour at 160–170°F (71–77°C). Jars don't need preheating.
- Let candles set undisturbed at room temperature, away from drafts.
- Cure for 1–2 weeks before burn testing.
BW 924 is a soft wax, so it suits jars and tins rather than pillars. Evaluate wick size for each fragrance and dye combination.
